I decided to share with you the visual development of a picture I created just an hour ago.

You can see here that I am using oil pastels.

Though it is hard to see I have already laid out my lines with a gray lead pencil.

I continue to fill in the details. Working different areas at a time. As I am working with an image in my head, rather than following a copy (or photo), it is a tad more difficult creating the right colours in the mountains. I am actually just going with the flow and a somewhat lightly building up the image.

This is as good as I can get it on paper. Now for an extra special touch let's place a single Photoshop effect on the image…

Wow! Not bad. Not bad, at all.
